What is the Fish cutter Training Program?
A fish company in Hunts Point wants to hire 7 fish cutters and is planning to offer free training to approximately 15 people to find the right seven employees The employer will select approximately 15 people to participate in a free, unpaid training. Training will learn valuable technical skills such as Cleaning, cutting, packaging, and safety techniques
When is the Fish Cutter Training Program?
Training will be held on 8 Saturdays, starting November -Classes will be held from 1:00 am to 9:00 am in the very early morning
What happens after the Training program is Completed?
Successful training graduates will begin an apprenticeship program. the apprenticeship is full-time and workers will be paid $400/week. After successful completion of the apprenticeship program, the fish cutters will be hired as full-time employees on the union track Starting salary is $465 per week Union membership after 30 days Full benefits and pension after 9 months Raise to $605 per week after 18 months Raise to $725 per week or more after 36 months To apply call Ms. Dionne Binns at 718-960-7987
